The teachers and the Board are very excited to be again offering two 2-day three-year-old classes, one 3-day four-year-old class and one 4-day four-year-old class. Our school year begins the day after Labor Day and ends the week prior to the Memorial Day holiday. Tuition is paid for the nine months that the children are in school.
Congratulations to our four-year-old graduates and to all the three-year-olds who had a great year at MPC Preschool. Many thanks to all the teachers for their faithful teaching and care of these wonderful children.
Our Philosophy
MPC Preschool is a non-profit, church sponsored, preschool program designed to provide a secure, nurturing environment in which young children are offered a variety of exciting learning experiences. Our program offers an atmosphere which stimulates creativity and provides opportunities to help children gain the confidence needed to make the next step in their educational journey a successful one. Our daily goal is to make the process of learning and discovering fun and pleasant in every way.
We view every child as unique and significant, and encourage each one to discover and take pride in their personal capabilities. Activities are developmentally appropriate to promote each child’s physical, intellectual, emotional, and social well-being. We understand that children develop individually, and do not set expectations on the acquisition of skills. Our program has a Christian emphasis as our belief in a loving God forms the basis of our approach to nurturing children.
State License
All Preschool staff have had background checks through the Commonwealth of Virginia. Several staff hold teaching certificates from the Commonwealth of Virginia and all staff members have worked with children for many years. Each staff member also receives 16 hours of continuing education during the year and is certified in First Aid and CPR.
