Please join us at MPC for Holy Week – Mar. 29th – Apr. 5th – as we walk with Jesus from his entry into Jerusalem, through his Last Supper with his disciples, to his arrest and crucifixion, and his joyous resurrection!
Palm/Passion Sunday
Sunday, March 29th, 10:30 a.m.
We will reenact the procession of the palms at the beginning of worship, and guest preacher Rev. Melissa Harmon will lead us on an exploration of Palm Sunday and Passion/Holy Week.
Maundy Thursday
Thursday, April 2nd, 7:00 p.m.*
Maundy Thursday worship focuses on the last night Jesus spent with his disciples before his arrest. This includes the Last Supper, and our worship will include communion. “Maundy” comes from the Latin word mandatum, which means commandment. Jesus gave his new commandment – to love one another as he has loved us – in John 13:34-35.
Good Friday
Friday, April 3rd, 7:00 p.m.*
This solemn worship service allows us to remember the arrest, trial, crucifixion, and death of Jesus.
Easter Sunday
Sunday, April 5th
On Easter Sunday we proclaim with Christians around the world “Christ is risen!” We do so in the following ways:
9:00 a.m. – Easter Breakfast fundraiser for our MPC Youth Programs
9:45 a.m. – Easter Egg Hunt for children
10:30 a.m. – Easter Sunday worship featuring special music and “alleluia wands”
*Nursery care is not available for the Maundy Thursday or Good Friday worship services.
