Keith was called to Massanutten Presbyterian Church in September 2021. He is excited to be part of the collaborative leadership at MPC as we all share the gifts God has given us. Keith grew up in Newport News, and is thrilled to be closer to family that still lives there. He graduated from Old Dominion University and Columbia Theological Seminary. His ministry experience includes serving congregations in Decatur, Georgia, and Salina, Kansas. From 2006 – 2013, Keith was the Director of Communications with the Norfolk Admirals hockey team. He is a faithful fan of the Washington Capitals (NHL) and Baltimore Orioles (MLB). In January 2023, he adopted two cats: Ember and Luna.
Ashlea joined MPC as Administrative Assistant in January 2025. She grew up in Bridgewater and now lives in Fulks Run with her husband Jared. She has an adult son named Blayke who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and faces additional challenges. These experiences have inspired her educational pursuits in the field of Human Services – including degrees and certificates in human services and substance abuse counseling from Blue Ridge Community College. She is currently working toward becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer. Ashlea's strong faith in God drives her passion for advocating for all individuals, ensuring they feel heard, seen, understood, respected, and supported in a safe and supportive environment. Ashlea actively works to meet the needs of those in need and protect their rights, especially those who have suffered from abuse and neglect and cannot advocate for themselves. In her free time, Ashlea enjoys spending time with her family, reading, drawing, and cuddling with her silver lab Luna.
Hannah is a 2020 graduate of Union Presbyterian Seminary with a Master of Arts in Christian Education. She most recently worked at Massanetta Springs as the Director of Programs. Growing up overseas and then in Staunton as a very involved preacher’s kid ("PK"), she is no stranger to church ministry. She brings a fresh outlook on programming and a love of working with children and youth. She loves to travel with her husband, Scott Altman. In October 2022, Hannah and Scott welcomed a daughter, Natalie, to their family. Their dog, Crumpet, loves his frisbee.
Bob came to MPC in 1999 as the Organist and became the Director of Music in 2007. He graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in Music and Economics. He enjoys woodworking, playing in various musical groups, and occasional research in behavioral economics and relishes time spent with his wife, Doris, and his children and grandchildren. Over the years, he has been blessed and honored to know and work with the truly exceptional and inspirational people at MPC.
Carol has been organist at MPC since 2008. She accompanies the Adult Choir, directs the Massanutten Ringers handbell choir, and leads a children's choir, JoySong. A graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College and the University of Virginia, she enjoys biking in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, and hobbies include stained glass and polymer clay.
Katie and her husband, Dirk Grayson, have long been friends and good neighbors of the congregation. They have lived in the manse for more than 10 years, raising their three children: son Caden, daughter Zyan, and son Elias. In her spare time, Katie enjoys refinishing furniture and helping families find the decor that makes their house a home. In 2020 she and Dirk launched their own business called Woven and Wood. Anna joined the MPC staff as the Digital Worship Coordinator in August 2025. She has attended the church for most of her childhood and returned after the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, she is a senior at Spotswood High School. In her free time, Anna enjoys playing board games and playing percussion.
Dick was born in Treebeek, Netherlands and grew up in Virginia. He volunteered to serve in the Air Force and is a Vietnam veteran. Dick has been a member of MPC since 1976. He retired from Lakeview Golf Course after 26 years of service. Dick and Karen have one daughter, Melissa, who along with her husband lives in Ashland, Virginia. Dick enjoys hunting, camping, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Cindy was born in Toms Brook, Va. and lived there until going to college in North Carolina. After graduating, she taught at Keister Elementary School in Harrisonburg, and has lived in this area since that time. She taught public school for 15 years and was a teacher and director at MPC Preschool for 24 years. She is a member of and musician for Vision of Hope Methodist Church, and has been connected with Massanutten Presbyterian Church for many years as staff, member and friend. She resides in Penn Laird and has a daughter, Mackenzie who also lives in the area. Her husband, Don, died in 2014. Her hobbies include walking, reading, organizing, puzzle-working, and helping other people.
