Cindy Grimes returns as director again this year. Cindy has worked at MPC Preschool since 1997. She graduated from Lenoir Rhyne College with a degree in early childhood education. Cindy was employed as the four-year-old assistant, three-year-old teacher, four-year-old teacher, and part time director prior to her current position. Cindy lives in Penn Laird.
Mia Sherwood will be returning for her 6th year with the school to teach the two year old and three-day four year old classes. Mia has taught in Rockingham County and in Hunter McGuire before finding a home with Massanutten School five years ago. Mia graduated from James Madison University with a BA in early childhood education. She, her husband, and two sons live in Lakewood.
Stephanie Parlee will be teaching the four day fours this year. Stephanie is a graduate of Appalachian State University and holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She taught in North Carolina and Virginia public schools before coming to MPC Preschool. Stephanie has been a part of the preschool since 2009 as a parent and volunteer. She and her husband live in Port Republic with their 3 children.
Beth is returning for her 10th year in our three-year-old class. She graduated from Longwood College with a degree in early childhood education. Beth taught three-year-old preschoolers for several years in northern Virginia. When her husband relocated to Rockingham County, Beth began looking for another place to work, and we were lucky enough to have caught her. She, her husband, and two children live in Lakewood.
Jeana Simmons is the assistant in these classes. Jeana started working here in 2016, but has been a part of our program for 10 years as a mom of preschoolers. She has worked locally in several local businesses, and has worked in another preschool in the area for a year before joining our staff. Jeana, her husband, and 3 children live in Crossroads Farm.
Jenny Dillard will be returning for her 7th year at MPC Preschool. She will be working with Beth McDaniel in the three year old classes this year. She lives in Keezletown with her husband and 2 children.
Hunter Davis will be working with the 4 year olds again this year. Hunter has worked with MPC Preschool for 8 years. She is the mother of three children who have attended Massanutten School, and she also attends Massanutten Presbyterian Church. Hunter has many years of experience working with children within the church and in after school programs. She graduated from Peace College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance. Hunter and her family lives in Port Republic.
